An asset record does not establish legal title. An AI estimate is not a sworn valuation or personal advice. Check the evidence, date and intended purpose before relying on a result.

1. Software and information services

BasisRail provides software for organising private-asset records and related information services. Website content, demonstrations, asset records and automated assessments are provided for their stated informational purpose and scope. They are not an offer to buy or sell an asset, a financial product or an interest in a pooled investment.

BasisRail does not operate an investment exchange, execute asset trades, hold investment funds, act as a custodian or provide escrow through the platform. The ability to create a record for an asset does not imply that the asset is lawful, transferable, investable or appropriate for any person.

2. No personal professional advice

General platform content and AI-assisted estimates are not personal financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting or insurance advice. They do not take the place of a suitably qualified adviser considering your circumstances and the requirements of a specific transaction.

Before relying on a record or estimate for a sale, investment, loan, insurance placement, tax return, financial statement, court proceeding, estate matter or regulatory obligation, establish what standard of evidence or professional valuation is required. Obtain independent advice where appropriate.

A separate written professional engagement may provide a defined service with its own reliance terms. It is not created merely by a subscription, an AI assessment or an informal support response.

3. Limits of automated valuations

AI-assisted assessments are estimates, not verified facts or sworn valuations. Models can make factual, mathematical, methodological and reasoning errors; misunderstand rights or asset-specific features; miss relevant evidence; rely on outdated information; or assign inappropriate weight to sources. Public-source references do not establish that every underlying statement is accurate or comparable.

An estimate depends on the valuation date, stated purpose, ownership interest, assumptions, evidence and method used. Values can change substantially with market conditions, liquidity, restrictions, legal disputes, condition, future earnings and other factors. There is no guarantee that an asset can be sold, financed or insured at the displayed value.

A request to lower or increase a value is a request to reconsider supporting evidence. It is not a promise to return your preferred outcome. A review may change the estimate in either direction, leave it unchanged or identify insufficient evidence.

The fee of A$8.99 plus 0.03% of accepted assessed value is a pricing formula, not a measure of accuracy, independence or professional assurance. Paying for an assessment does not convert it into a certified valuation.

4. Records do not establish legal title

Asset identity, ownership and supporting details may be supplied by users or third parties. Unless a specific independent verification is expressly described, BasisRail does not certify legal ownership, beneficial interests, authenticity, provenance, enforceability, absence of encumbrances or completeness of disclosure.

The registry is not a government title register, company share register maintained under a separate statutory appointment, intellectual-property registration office or personal-property securities register. Recording an asset or uploading a document does not complete a transfer, establish priority, perfect a security interest or meet a filing obligation.

Version history, dates, payment verification and file-integrity checks describe particular system events. They do not establish the truth of all information in the associated record. “Saved”, “paid”, “linked” and similar labels should be read in that limited operational sense.

5. Professional reports and human reviews

Sworn, certified or otherwise professionally relied-on valuations require an appropriate qualified professional and a separately agreed engagement. The written scope must identify the asset and interest, valuation date, intended use, standards, assumptions, restrictions and parties entitled to rely on the report.

An AI review is still an automated assessment. A no-charge human-review request is a request for our team to consider the result and feedback; it does not guarantee a professional valuation, physical inspection, expert opinion or report acceptable to a regulator, court, auditor, lender or insurer.

Do not describe an automated estimate or informal review as “sworn”, “certified”, “independent professional valuation” or equivalent unless the particular deliverable expressly and legitimately meets that description.

6. Examples, external links and third parties

Illustrative portfolios, documents, companies, figures and product demonstrations on the website are examples unless clearly identified otherwise. They are not evidence of customer adoption, historical asset performance, available investment opportunities or an offer of a particular asset.

Links to sources, service providers and our X account are provided for context or convenience. Third parties control their own content and services. A link does not imply an endorsement, partnership, accuracy guarantee or acceptance of liability for content outside our control.

We may correct errors and update information. A correction does not imply that a previously generated assessment has automatically been updated. Check the date and version of any record before relying on it.

7. Your legal rights and contact

This disclaimer explains the nature and limits of the service. It does not override an expressly agreed professional scope, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, or a duty or remedy imposed by applicable law.

Nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees and remedies. A general disclaimer does not excuse a misleading representation or remove a responsibility the law places on BasisRail.

For a suspected error, misleading record, rights concern or legal question, contact legal@basisrail.com. For personal-information requests, use privacy@basisrail.com. Include the relevant asset or assessment reference, but do not send passwords or full card information.
